Night on the town!
I hemmed an old choir dress for a fun girl's night with Sara Perkinson! My necklace also broke, so I tied it up with a velvet ribbon.

Apron-dress
First off, isn't this lady the greatest? This is Lorraine, who works as a volunteer like me at the Veteran Medical Center of Long Beach. She is one of my favorite people!
I found this dress at DI, or Deseret Industries. It's a Mormon version of Good Will. Anyways, It came with a twisted strap and without any embellishments. I untwisted the strap to set it straight. I also added the trip down the front and the lace on the bottom. And of course, like most of the things I get at a thrift store, I sized it. I think it turned out cute!

Transformations!

This pink polyester dress used to have long sleeves. I transformed it into a halter dress. I love the keyhole detail. |

Mini skirt transformed to a skirt suitable for church! |
I wanted the scalloped edges not to be sewn down, but free. I finished the edges of it by hand and then sewed a straight line at the top to attach the bottom part of the skirt to the top. |
