Layering Skirts

I don't know about you, but layering skirts is one of my favorite things to do.
Yes, that is a real sword.

Apron-dress

First off, isn't this lady the greatest? This is Lorraine, who works as a volunteer like me at the Veteran Medical Center of Long Beach. She is one of my favorite people!
I found this dress at DI, or Deseret Industries. It's a Mormon version of Good Will. Anyways, It came with a twisted strap and without any embellishments. I untwisted the strap to set it straight. I also added the trip down the front and the lace on the bottom. And of course, like most of the things I get at a thrift store, I sized it. I think it turned out cute!

Green with whipped cream

I embellished a t-shirt! I got this t-shirt at Banana Republic, but I never really liked wearing it. What do you think? My mother calls it my leprechaun t-shirt, but I think it's darling. (I might wear it on St. Patrick's Day next year though)

Women's Chorus Anniversary Concert!

I just finished the final concert of the year with Women's Chorus! In this last show, I had a small acting role. I needed to be a frivolous girl that a boy named Antonio was pining for. Sister Applonie wanted someone with a flamboyant personality wearing a big bow or flower for the part, so she thought of me! I put this headpiece together and she loved it!

Hayli and Karstin sewing extravaganza!

Hayli wanted to make an apron for her friend, so we had a sewing party! Obviously we had to wear tutu's. We made our own pattern.
